Job summary

Generac is hiring an Engineering Technician I to perform electrical, mechanical, and environmental tests on current and new product designs under supervision. You will assist in test equipment assembly, prototype fabrication, and ensure test requirements meet defined standards.

The role emphasizes problem identification, containment, action planning, and formal/informal reporting, with a focus on continuous improvement and lab audits.

Qualifications

• Testing of electrical, mechanical, and environmental designs under supervision.
• Assist in test equipment assembly and prototype fabrication per blueprints.
• Prepare formal and informal test reports.

Responsibilities

• Setup test equipment and products per testing procedures.
• Perform tests on prototypes and existing products for ISO 17025 criteria.
• Document measurements and interpret data.
• Support manufacturing through troubleshooting and 5S/documentation.
