Job summary

Generac is seeking an Engineering Technician I to perform electrical, mechanical, and environmental tests under supervision. You will set up equipment, run tests on prototypes and existing products, and document results. The role supports continuous improvement and 5S initiatives in the engineering lab.

Responsibilities include analyzing measurements, assembling test components, and assisting with audits. A high school diploma is required, with prior testing experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Experience performing electrical, mechanical, and environmental tests preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and use measurement devices.

Responsibilities

• Set up test equipment and run procedures per testing protocols.
• Test prototypes, existing and competitor products for defined criteria.
• Interpret measurements and document results accurately.
• Assist in assembly and fabrication of test equipment per blueprints.
• Maintain test documentation and prepare reports.
• Support audits and 5S programs in the lab.
