Job summary

Sage Sustainable Electronics is seeking an Electronic Production Technician in Reno, NV to process assets, perform detailed evaluations, upgrades, and data security tasks. The role aims to maximize asset value while protecting sensitive information.

Responsibilities include configuring hardware, testing peripherals, and entering asset data into ERP. Travel up to 10% and close collaboration with Sales may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in technology or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years’ hardware experience, preferably repair-related.
• Strong computer literacy.
• Results- and team-oriented with attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel to other sites (10%).
• Able to lift 50 lbs or more.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Diagnostic and troubleshooting ability.
• BIOS configuration.
• Ability to configure, repair and upgrade electronic assets.
• Ability to identify and install PC hardware and peripherals.
• Ability to understand written, oral or diagram instructions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate electronic assets and determine value based on condition.
• Perform data security on electronic assets.
• Configure, upgrade and test computer hardware and peripherals.
• Inspect, classify, diagnose, evaluate, disassemble and repair computer hardware.
• Evaluate hardware for disposition (resell, repair, harvest, recycle).
• Upgrade products by adding new hardware.
• Repair and replace worn components.
• Enter asset information into ERP system.
• Assess inventory for upgrade/repair parts and order as needed.
• Install OS on computer products per procedure.
• Cross-train across Operations to improve processes.
