Job summary

J.B. Poindexter & Co., Inc. is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician for 2nd shift in Reading, PA.

You will perform skilled work in maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of electrical and electronic equipment used in our industrial operations. Responsibilities include installing and repairing equipment per NEC and company standards, reading blueprints, performing PLC-related tasks, and maintaining safety with lockout/tagout procedures while collaborating with teammates to keep

Qualifications

Experience with electrical trade methods and materials.
Knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations.
Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, and sketches.
PLC operation and programming experience.
Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

Inspect, maintain, repair and overhaul electrical and electronic equipment per NEC.
Install new electrical and electronic equipment following NEC and standards.
Troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems and equipment.
Read diagrams and update prints with changes.
Perform medium voltage switching (600 volts) and operate generators.
Comply with lockout/tagout and safety regulations.
Work safely with co-workers.
