Job summary

voestalpine Roll Forming Corporation is seeking two 2nd shift Electrical and Controls Technicians to install, program, and troubleshoot electrical controls and automation systems on the factory floor at the Jeffersonville, IN plant. You will work with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, motors, and robotics while collaborating with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to improve reliability and efficiency.

Ideal candidates have an associate degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, PLC

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, or related field.
• Experience as a controls technician or in a similar manufacturing role.
• Hands-on PLC programming with Allen-Bradley or Siemens platforms.
• Experience with robotics, automation, HMI, and SCADA systems.
• Working knowledge of EtherNet/IP, Modbus, EtherCAT.
• Knowledge of PowerFlex, Kinetix, or Indramat drives.
• Ability to read electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, program, and maintain control systems, including PLCs, HMI software, motors, servos, robots, and related automation equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and control-system issues to minimize production downtime.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections on control equipment.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to implement solutions that improve efficiency, quality, and reliability.
• Document system modifications, maintenance work, and standard operating procedures.
• Train employees on control-system operation and best practices.
• Support the development of project specifications and timelines.
• Maintain compliance with applicable safety requirements and industry standards.
