Job summary

Pacer Group is seeking a contract EH&S professional for a 12-month assignment at our Charlotte, NC site. The role centers on safety verification, incident response, and occupational health leadership during the second shift, with initial training on first shift for two weeks.

Ideal candidates will have a university degree or equivalent and at least 3 years of EH&S experience in manufacturing, plus current EMS certification and the ability to work independently for the full shift.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 3 years EH&S experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Current certification permitting unsupervised emergency medical assessment and treatment in an occupational setting.
• Demonstrated capability to work an entire shift without supervision, direction or escalation.

Responsibilities

• Safety verification on the operating floor and ensures compliance.
• Identifies unsafe conditions, removes them from service and documents.
• Coach at the point of work and observe practices as performed.
• Conducts scheduled inspections and maintains inspection records.
• Serves as on-site EMS responder and provides treatment within scope.
• Maintains EMS readiness and coordinates evaluations and testing.
• Produces shift records and escalates issues to client as needed.
• Operates within the authority delegated by the client.
