United Performance Metals' rapidly growing Advanced Solutions Center is seeking an EDM Wire Cutter Machine Operator for the 2nd shift. Position Details

• FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
• Starting Wage: $23 - $25, depending on experience
• Working Hours: Monday - Thursday, 3:00 pm - 1:30 am
• Location: Hamilton, OH, On-site

Note: $1,000 Sign-On Bonus after 90 days (current offer, subject to change).

Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert on customer manufacturing specifications to create machine programming.
• Set up, troubleshoot, and operate EDM Wire Cutters according to strict tolerances.
• Examine and measure completed units, identify defects, and ensure adherence to specifications; adjust machine controls as needed.
• Exercise strong problem-solving skills for machinery inspection and repair.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Experience

• 2+ years of experience with programming and operating manual, semi-automated, or automated tools and machines.
• Proficiency in measuring equipment such as CMM, CAD-CAM, Micrometers, Height Gauges, Calipers, Profilometers, etc.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and design sketches.
• Capability to create and maintain updated machining processes.
• Familiarity with warehouse, manufacturing, or production planning environments.
