Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Lafayette, IN is seeking a Distribution Technician for 2nd shift to move material to the assembly line using stand-up or sit-down forklifts. Responsibilities include maintaining inventory accuracy and delivering material in FIFO order.

The role requires at least 1 year of forklift experience and strong safety and communication skills. Eligible candidates will receive benefits from day one and the position offers a 2:30pm–10:30pm schedule with potential for overtime.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year of stand-up forklift experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

• Basic computer skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Move material to the assembly line using stand-up or sit-down forklift.
• Help Stores Controller maintain inventory accuracy on production parts.
• Ensure material is delivered in FIFO order to point of use.
