Caterpillar is hiring a Distribution Technician for the 1st shift in Lafayette, Indiana. You will move material to the assembly line using a forklift, support inventory accuracy, and ensure FIFO delivery to the point of use. This role includes a detailed onboarding process, performance-based pay, and comprehensive benefits.

The position requires reading/writing English and offers competitive hourly pay with shift premium. Eligible overtime may be available, and relocation is not offered.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of stand-up forklift experience.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Self-motivated, safety-conscious and able to work independently.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Move material to the assembly line using stand-up or sit-down forklift.
• Help Stores Controller maintain inventory accuracy on production parts.
• Ensure material is delivered to the point of use in FIFO order.
