Job summary

Dayton Freight Lines, Inc. is seeking a reliable Dispatch Assistant for our Gahanna, OH location, working a 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM shift.

You will assist the Service Center Manager, support drivers, and prepare bills of lading and delivery receipts to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, fast keyboarding, keen attention to detail, and strong communication and customer service skills are required.

Qualifications

• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
• Excellent keyboarding and data entry skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail.
• Strong communication and customer service abilities.
• Willing to work a 2nd shift.

Responsibilities

• Satisfy customers with consistent, on-time pickup and delivery of shipments.
• Assist the Service Center Manager, Operations Manager and/or Supervisors.
• Prepare bills of lading and delivery receipts.
• Maintain excellent communication with external and internal customers and interline companies.
