Job summary

GA Telesis, a global aviation solutions provider, seeks a 2nd Shift Disassembly/Assembly Technician for its Fort Lauderdale site. The role focuses on maintaining a clean, safe, organized work area, supporting equipment setup and breakdown, and ensuring safety and operational standards are met while disassembling, cleaning, inspecting, and tagging aircraft components.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience removing and restoring aircraft assemblies.
• Must have a minimum of a high school education or equivalent and 1–3 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience assembling aircraft/aerospace parts, components, and/or assemblies using applicable drawings, specifications, quality standards, and manufacturing plans.

Responsibilities

• Complex production assembly operations on structural and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment, and accessories using manual operations.
• Follow approved assembly procedures, consulting internal FAA‑approved procedures, OEM technical data, and work package instructions.
• Utilize comprehensive knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting/repair procedures and replacement of components.
• Have thorough knowledge of aircraft structural modification and repair and the ability to determine the functionality of non‑complex electrical systems.
• Operate unique aircraft tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, cable tensiometers, sheet‑metal brakes, shes, etc.
• Apply professional technical expertise to execute complex structural work, including but not limited to pull holes, match & back drilling, fastener removals, riveting, sleeve‑bolt drilling, and system, wire, and tube installations.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, process specifications, and retrofit requirements to perform structural modification/repair.
• Maintain necessary certifications, licenses, and permits as required for assigned work.

2nd Shift Disassembly/Assembly Technician

This full-time, on-site position based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida focuses on facilities‑related duties including maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment, supporting equipment setup and breakdown, and ensuring work areas meet safety and operational standards. The technician also disassembles, cleans, inspects, and tags aircraft components, while actively identifying opportunities to improve processes, safety, quality, and overall efficiency.
