Position Summary

Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake, suspension, electrical, hydraulic, body components, and systems in heavy and light-duty trucks, including gasoline, diesel, and CNG systems. Welding and fabrication skills are a plus.

Essential Job Functions
  • Diagnose mechanical problems and perform repairs to ensure safe and efficient operations. Complete repairs from DVIR and repair orders.
  • Communicate with managers and drivers about vehicle issues and preventive maintenance techniques.
  • Complete all paperwork accurately and promptly.
  • Follow safety policies and maintain a clean, OSHA-compliant work area.
  • Use electronic systems to interpret failure modes and initiate repairs.
  • Conduct safety checks and repairs using Factory Service Manuals.
  • Maintain high standards of ethics and dependability.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of suspension, brake, electrical, and hydraulic systems diagnosis and repair.
  • Proficient with diagnostic tools and interpreting service manuals.
  • Ability to estimate repair times and materials.
  • Experience guiding assistant technicians and shop helpers.
  • CDL Class B preferred within 12 months.
