Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Food Clerk to deliver outstanding customer service in our Fresh departments. You will share product knowledge, help customers find items, and maintain clean, well‑stocked displays to create a welcoming store experience.

You will rotate stock, work across departments, and use the POS system to complete purchases accurately. A customer-first mindset and ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or food service is helpful.
• Strong customer-focused attitude and listening skills.
• Ability to learn new technology quickly.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to provide friendly service.
• Educate customers about products and promotions.
• Maintain fresh, visually appealing displays across departments.
• Stock and rotate items according to planograms.
• Operate the POS system to complete purchases accurately.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Collaborate with Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce, and Grocery teams.
• Assist with other tasks to keep store operations running smoothly.
