Job summary

Henny Penny is seeking an Entry Deburrer on our Eaton, OH campus. You will operate and maintain deburr tooling for parts produced by Laser and Punch machines, and you will use JDE Kanban to track card status.

This role requires reading technical docs, basic math, and strong teamwork in a People First culture. You will stand for long shifts, lift up to 100 lbs, and ensure a clean, safe workspace while upholding core company values.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 18+ years of age or older.
• 1–3 years of metal fabrication or CNC machine operation experience.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and stand 8 hours daily.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Familiarity with Kanban, JDE, BOM viewer, and method sheets.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain deburr tooling and machines: Fladder, Costa, Aluminum Machine, Vibradyne.
• Utilize Kanban functions in JDE to track cards, status and history.
• Assist in collecting final parts as Laser and Punch machines produce parts.
• Identify quality parts, sort and stack accordingly.
• Recognize material types and dispose of scrap properly.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
• Model Henny Penny core values in daily work.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

General Description

The Entry Deburrer role is responsible for independently operating all associated equipment and tooling necessary to smooth parts made on the Laser and Punch machines.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Understands how to correctly use the following functions within JDE programing (i.e. sending Kanban cards, tracking Kanban card status and history.)
• Operates d maintains all deburr tooling and following machines; Fladder, Costa, Aluminum Machine and Vibradyne.
• Helps to collect final parts as the Laser and Punch machines make parts.
• Identifies quality cut, identifies parts, sorts and stack.
• Identifies material types and practice proper disposal of scrap.
• Demonstrates consistency in practicing all safety procedures.
• Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment.
• Models Team Member Expected Behaviors and Henny Penny core values
• Other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For:

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• 1- 3 years of experience in metal fabrication or CNC machine operation.
• Ability to frequently move objects up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to stand for 8 consecutive hours a day.
• Good Vision (ability to see intricate details).
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
• Effective communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot.
• Knowledge of basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, and divide)
• Ability to understand manufacturing processes such as Kanban, JDE, BOM viewer, method sheets, etc.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment drug screen, background check screen, and motor vehicle screen (if applicable)
