Job summary

Lactalis American Group in Murfreesboro, TN is seeking a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician to support production packaging and processing operations, sanitation, and startup/shutdown of equipment.

The role requires 1 year of manufacturing maintenance experience or a technical degree; HS diploma or GED; PLC, pneumatic and hydraulic systems preferred; ability to lift 50 lbs; English communication; and willingness to work 2nd shift with pay starting at $31.66 per hour plus $.50 shift

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school education or GED.
• 1 year of experience in manufacturing maintenance or a technical degree in industrial maintenance or engineering.
• Working knowledge of PLC, pneumatic and hydraulic systems preferred.
• English communication in workplace required.

Responsibilities

• Support production packaging and processing operations, sanitation and startup, changeover, and shutdown of operating equipment.
• Install, maintain, repair, and replace industrial processing and packaging machinery, work tools and equipment.
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
• Provide technical support and plant leadership for equipment troubleshooting and modifications.
• Understand, initiate, and participate in Root Cause Analysis (Why, Why).
• Perform uptime and downtime preventative maintenance.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase platform performance.
• Assist in training new employees.
