La Porte High School is seeking a 2nd Shift Custodian (Union Position) to maintain a clean, safe learning environment from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The role requires operating cleaning equipment, managing supplies, and reporting maintenance needs to the Head Custodian.
Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and 3–6 months of cleaning or basic maintenance experience; strong attention to safety and the ability to work with school staff are essential.

High school diploma or GED. Three to six months of practical experience in general cleaning and/or basic maintenance
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to custodians and other employees
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variable in standardized situations
