Job summary

Methacton School District is seeking a 2nd shift custodian for Methacton High School. The role focuses on maintaining cleanliness and operation of the building, with duties assigned by the head custodian.

The position runs 2:30pm–10:30pm, Tuesday–Saturday, 247 days plus 13 holidays, with a compensation of $28.44 per hour and full-time benefits under the existing Teamsters Local #384 agreement.

Qualifications

• Must lift 50-75 lbs with frequent loads up to 30 lbs.
• Able to climb step and extension ladders for lamp/ceiling tile work.
• Prior custodial experience and basic equipment knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to work well with the entire school staff.
• Exercise good judgment in routines as directed by the Head Custodian/Asst. Dir. of Facilities.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Pre-employment physical (upon hire).
• Clearances: Act 34, Act 151 and FBI fingerprints (upon hire).

COMPENSATION: $28.44

BENEFITS: Full-time as per current CBA with Teamsters Local #384

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be physically capable of lifting 50-75 lbs. with frequent carrying of loads up to 30 lbs.
• Must be physically able to climb step ladder and extension ladder for lamp and ceiling tile replacement.
• Prior custodial work experience and basic working knowledge of custodial equipment is a plus.
• Ability to work well with the entire school staff.
• Ability to exercise good judgment in carrying out prescribed routines and procedures as directed by the Head Custodian or the Assistant to the Director of Facilities.
• Any and all other duties as assigned.
• Pre-employment physical. (upon hire)
• Current Act 34, Act 151 and FBI Fingerprint clearances (upon hire)
