Job description

Job Title: Corrugator Supervisor (2nd Shift)

Our Corrugator Supervisor directly supervises all employees assigned to the department on various shifts. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; conflict resolution; team-building; coaching and leading employees to improve; addressing complaints and resolving problems; documentation; and setting an example of professional behavior, attitude, and performance.

Minimum Requirements
  1. Education: High school diploma or GED.
  2. Experience: Five years of manufacturing experience; experience in corrugated packaging is a plus. Strong leadership qualities are required.
  3. Language Skills: Ability to read and understand English, interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write reports and correspondence.
  4. Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate percentages, measurements, volume, and rates; apply high school level math concepts.
  5. Reasoning Skills: Ability to follow written, oral, or graphic instructions; solve problems involving multiple variables in standardized situations.
  6. Computer Skills: Familiarity with Microsoft Office and software related to starch usage tracking and quality data management for food safety compliance.
  7. Manufacturing Knowledge: Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, inventory management, and ordering.
Physical Demands

The employee must be able to stand, walk, talk, hear, use hands and fingers, reach, kneel, crouch, crawl, sit, and lift/move up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Vision abilities required include close, distance, color, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Work Environment

The work involves exposure to moving mechanical parts, wet/humid conditions, heights, fumes, airborne particles, vibration, and loud noise levels requiring hearing protection.

The candidate should possess excellent time management, meeting leadership, teaching, crisis management, employee relations, conflict resolution, motivational, and professional assertiveness skills.
