Liberty Diversified International (LDI) in Brooklyn Park, MN is hiring a Corrugator Operator I to safely run one end of the corrugator, assist with setup, and support routine orders. You will move paper rolls, stack products, label outputs, and report machine issues to leadership.

The role reports to a Corrugator Supervisor and requires overtime availability. Benefits include health, dental, vision, PTO, 401(k) with match, and profit sharing.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED AND 1+ years of manufacturing experience OR 2+ years manufacturing experience in lieu of education.
• Typing, printing, and data entry experience.
• Math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to read, follow, and complete detailed work instructions.
• Must be available for overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Set up rolls inside the wet-end of the machine and monitor performance; assist with order changeovers using pallet jack.
• On the dry-end, stack orders safely for transport and ensure proper labeling and quality checks.
• Perform industry testing to maintain紙 quality and report issues to leadership.
• Identify issues and communicate them to the team promptly.
• Follow all plant safety procedures and assist with other duties as assigned.

Description

As a Corrugator Operator I with Liberty Packaging, you contribute to the growth of our business by being a key player in safely producing quality corrugated products for our customers. Corrugator Operator I positions are assigned to, and are responsible for mastering, one end of our corrugator (wet end or dry end). This role works within a small group to operate portions of our corrugator by helping setup for orders, move rolls of paper using material handling equipment, stacking product, testing for product quality, correctly labeling products, and communicating machine issues to leadership and team members to ensure efficiency and timeliness in production.

This full-time position reports directly to a Corrugator Supervisor and is located at our Brooklyn Park, MN manufacturing facility.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• On the wet-end of the machine, sets up rolls inside machine, monitors rolls of paper and machine performance, adds rolls when needed to ensure continuous run of the order, and supports continuous run operations during order changeovers by positioning rolls of paper near the machine via power pallet jack.
• On the dry-end of the machine, ensures orders are completely and safely stacked for transport to other areas of the facility, that quality checks are performed and documented according to standard, and that products are correctly identified with load tags.
• Monitors and maintains quality of corrugated paper by performing industry testing and reporting quality issues to plant leadership immediately to maintain accuracy and uphold customer satisfaction.
• Proactively identifies issues and communicates to the team.
• Follow plant safety processes and procedures outlined for machine centers.
• Other duties, as assigned.

REQUIREDEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• High School diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution AND 1+ years of work experience within a manufacturing environment OR 2+ years manufacturing or comparable experience in place of education.
• Previous experience with computer skills such as typing, printing, and data entry.
• Previous experience applying math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Previous experience reading, following, and/or completing detailed work instructions.
• Must be available to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• Previous experience with reading a tape measureto 1/16" measurement.
• Converting and/or Corrugator experience.
• Previous experience of pneumatic and electric hand tools.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

The starting pay rate for this position is $26.04 per hour, plus shift differential (If applicable), with an automatic increase to $28.93 per hour upon successful completion of the 60-working-day probationary period. The compensation posted is the anticipated pay for the position at the time of the posting. Some positions may qualify for additional compensation in the form of bonuses.
