2nd Shift Coordinator/Process Technician

Join to apply for the 2nd Shift Coordinator/Process Technician role at Wright Plastic Products Co, LLC.

Wright Plastic Products currently has an opening for a 2nd Shift Coordinator/Process Technician at our Madisonville, TN location.

Position Summary:

Responsible for ensuring effective daily technical and production operations during the shift. Tasks include managing mold changes and setups, reducing scrap and downtime, training staff, and coordinating equipment and tooling improvements with Maintenance and Tool Room teams. Initiate work orders via the COGS System and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Reduce scrap and improve cycle time and machine efficiency.
  • Implement corrective actions related to customer complaints, including 8Ds.
  • Perform parameter checks and update cycle sheets.
  • Oversee mold changes, including cleaning and setup.
  • Report and coordinate repairs for equipment and tooling damage using COGS System.
  • Evaluate and develop technical and production staff performance.
  • Optimize labor utilization and manage PTO and unscheduled absences.
  • Coordinate training for staff and participate in new product/process launches.
  • Prepare shift handoff reports.
  • Maintain facility organization and cleanliness.
  • Suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency and labor usage.
  • Assist on the production floor as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 2-4 years of plastic process technical experience.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Training in material handling and operator functions.
  • Knowledge of automated equipment and material handling.
  • 1-2 years of quality control experience or completed quality leader training.
  • Proven leadership skills and problem-solving ability.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Other Requirements:

Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, sit, handle objects, climb stairs, and lift up to 55 pounds. Vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.
