Smurfit Westrock in Glendale, AZ is hiring a Production Supervisor for the Converting department on 2nd shift (2 pm–11 pm). The role emphasizes safe, efficient production, coaching teams, and meeting targets while ensuring quality. Relocation is available for the right candidate.

You will lead manufacturing employees, drive safety improvements, monitor KPIs, and collaborate across functions to meet schedules and reduce waste. Strong Lean culture and communication are valued.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of converting packaging supervisory experience.
• Experience in Lean environments; Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
• Proven experience in operations, manufacturing, or supply chain.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Proven track record of effective problem-solving.
• Ability to embrace continuous improvement.
• Strong collaboration and teaming with stakeholders across functions.
• Coaching and training employees.

Responsibilities

• Manage manufacturing employees including performance reviews and disciplinary actions.
• Improve safety, environmental and health of the facility.
• Oversee shift operations focusing on safety, quality, delivery and cost.
• Monitor production activities to meet schedules and reduce waste.
• Collaborate to improve efficiencies and minimize downtime and overtime.
• Control load factors and optimize use of capacity, tools and equipment.
• Lead safety briefs and maintain safe workplace conditions.
• Ensure compliance with plant safety regulations and policies.
• Track daily KPIs and report results on plant scorecard.
• Plan workforce and manage attendance per policies.
• Coordinate with all plant areas to meet production needs.
