Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a 2nd Shift Machine Operator for a contract-to-hire role in Teutopolis, IL. You will operate CNC machines to cut, band, and drill cabinet parts in a wood manufacturing environment, following blueprints and production specs.

You will perform machine setup, adjust settings, and conduct quality checks with calipers and micrometers, contributing to efficient, high-quality production.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of machine operator experience in a production/manufacturing setting.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.
• Experience performing quality checks on manufactured parts.
• Basic troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve machine issues.
• Ability to use calipers and micrometers for measurements.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines to cut, band, and drill cabinet parts per production specs and blueprints.
• Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate dimensions and processes.
• Perform routine machine setup, material loading, and tool/fixture preparation.
• Make adjustments to machines to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Conduct quality checks on finished/in-process parts using measurement tools.
• Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
