Job summary

Valley Forge & Bolt Mfg. Co. is seeking a CNC Operator for the 2nd shift to produce high-quality fasteners on the production floor.

You will set up and calibrate machines, observe and measure during drilling, grooving, turning, facing, knurling, and thread chasing operations, and troubleshoot issues to maintain quality standards. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and prior CNC experience, strong reading of technical drawings, and proficiency with hand tools and measuring

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience operating CNC machines
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Proficient in the use of hand tools and measuring equipment
• Strong attention to detail and quality control skills

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines to produce high-quality fasteners
• Set up and calibrate machines according to specifications
• Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve machine-related problems
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
• Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
• Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments

• Other duties as needed or required
• Work Environment: The primary work environment is the production floor. Secondary work environment is the office.
• Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) through the entire shift
• Ability to be aware of surroundings for safety concerns
• While performing duties of this job the employee will be required to frequently stand on their feet for extended periods of time. Occasion stooping and walking will be required
• Special Requirements: Safety Sensitive... urinalysis and/or blood screening or other medically recognized tests... Drug-Free Workplace Act; etc.
