Job summary

ETS, a metal fabrication and precision machining manufacturer in Vermont, is hiring a CNC Machine Operator to join the team on-site. The role involves setting up CNC mills and lathes, interpreting blueprints, monitoring processes, and maintaining quality through precision inspection and clean, safe work practices.

Ideal candidates will have experience with CNC equipment, reading drawings, and applying basic programming knowledge, while upholding ISO standards and safety rules.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC mills or lathes in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and using precision measuring instruments.
• Basic knowledge of machine programming, tooling geometry, and cutting speeds/feeds.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC milling machines and lathes to produce precision metal components.
• Interpret engineering blueprints and work orders to plan machining operations.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment and monitor coolant and lubrication levels.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools to ensure quality and tight tolerances.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Adhere to ISO standards, company policies, and facility safety regulations.

A manufacturer specializing in metal fabrication, precision machining, and powder coating solutions for industrial markets. They are seeking a CNC Machine Operator to join their team.

Your day-to-day as a CNC Machine Operator:

• Set up and operate CNC milling machines and lathes to produce precision metal components
• Interpret engineering blueprints and work orders to plan machining operations
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment and monitor coolant and lubrication levels
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools to ensure quality and tight tolerances
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with Lean Manufacturing principles
• Adhere to ISO standards, company policies, and facility safety regulations

Your skills and experience:

• Experience operating CNC mills or lathes in a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and using precision measuring instruments
• Basic knowledge of machine programming, tooling geometry, and cutting speeds/feeds
• Strong attention to detail and reliable attendance
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
