Job summary

BlueGreen Alliance Inc. is seeking a CNC Mill Setup/Operator to set up and run 3-4 axis vertical CNC and manual machines to produce quality parts in a safe, efficient manner.

The role reports to the Manager and requires precise measurement using micrometers, dial indicators, height gauges, and other inspection tools; hourly pay ranges from $25.00 to $32.00 with a 25% second-shift differential.

Qualifications

• Operate CNC milling equipment with various controls.
• Set up work using clamps, vices and fixtures.
• Inspect parts with precision measuring tools.
• Maintain documentation and safety standards.
• Mastercam programming is a plus.

Job description

Description:

The CNC Mill Setup/Operator is responsible for setting up and utilizing 3-4 Axis Vertical (Horizontal is a plus) CNC/Manual controlled machines in a safe and efficient manner to produce quality goods. This position reports directly to the Manager and is responsible for the machining and manufacturing of parts meeting quality, cost, and delivery requirements set by the leadership team.

Requirements:

• Operate and set up CNC machining equipment utilizing a wide range of controls
• Strong ability to perform job set-up using traditional clamping methods, vices and custom work holding fixtures
• Set up and operate precision testing, measuring, and inspection instruments
• Complete documentation as required
• Accurately utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, dial indicators, height gauges, pin gauges, and gauge blocks
• Ability to run multiple pieces of equipment during cycle time
• Daily communication with supervisors, planners, leads, and other employees
• Maintain a high standard of quality and work within the organization’s environmental, health and safety standards
• Work within the SOP for machine shop supplies and make sure proper tooling is maintained and secure.
• Diligence and accuracy in following procedures and requirements
• Ability to manage time to meet routed cycle
• Large bed mill and programming with Mastercam a plus

Hourly pay rate will be $25.00 to $32.00 plus a 25% differential for second shift
