Job summary

Dynabrade, Inc. is seeking a 2nd or 3rd shift CNC Mill Setup Operator to ensure mills are properly set up, calibrated, and compliant with safety and quality standards.

You will read blueprints and work orders, adjust controls, verify measuring tools, and set up machines for each project while maintaining a clean, safe work area and collaborating with the Production department.

Qualifications

  • Mill machining experience required.
  • Knowledge of FANUC controls.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
  • Experience with 4th axis operation is a plus.
  • Proficient with measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, indicators).
  • High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

  • Set up tools according to instructions and blueprints.
  • Examine blueprints, work orders, and other specifications to ensure proper setup sequence.
  • Set and adjust necessary controls to regulate Mill machinery.
  • Verify measuring equipment are in proper working order.
  • Set up tools and machinery for individual projects.
  • Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
  • Maintain a professional, clean and safe work area.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Summary of Job

The Mill Setup Operator is responsible for ensuring Mill machinery is set up, is working properly, and conforms with company and safety policies and quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Sets up tools according to instruction, specifications and or blueprints.
  • Examines blueprints, work orders, and other specifications to ensure proper setup sequence.
  • Sets and adjusts necessary controls to regulate Mill machinery.
  • Verifies measuring equipment are in proper working order.
  • Set up tools and machinery for individual projects.
  • Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
  • Maintain a professional, clean and safe work area.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Mill machining experience required.
  • Knowledge of FANUC controls.
  • Knowledge of 4th axis operation, a plus.
  • Able to use measuring equipment such as Calipers, Micrometers, Indicators, etc.
  • Able to read and interpret charts, drawings and blueprints.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures relating to setting up Mill machinery and handling materials.
  • Ability to interpret, edit, and program efficiently, when required.
  • Must be able to set up Mill machinery with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to follow directions and perform work accurately and thoroughly.
  • Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills to work as part of a team.
  • High School Diploma, or GED.
