Qualifications

• Associate's degree or apprenticeship in Machine/Tool and Die Technology
• Ability to run and set up both conventional and program CNC equipment
• 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in a quality environment
• Exhibit problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate conventional, special purpose, and NC machines to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts.
• Study blueprints, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Select fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and materials and secure them on machines.
• Set controls for speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth of cut; or input/edit CNC programs.
• Verify conformance of finished parts to specifications.
• Communicate with engineers and production personnel to resolve problems.
• Build fixtures for drilling, milling, and turning.
