Job summary

Custom Engineering Co. is seeking 2nd shift CNC Machinists to operate horizontal boring mills, vertical mills, and bridge mills. Responsibilities include setting up and removing workpieces, inspecting in-process tolerances, and reading blueprints to determine tolerances and procedures.

Qualified candidates will have familiar with GD&T, CNC controls, tool offsets, and crane/forklift experience. Authorized to work in the US is required. Salary up to $28 per hour with a $2 shift differential.

Qualifications

• Trade Certification or equivalent experience.
• Proficient reading of blueprints and GD&T.
• Knowledge of tooling speeds and feeds calculations.
• Proficient with CNC controls and G-code commands.
• Ability to adjust/set tool lengths and work offsets.
• Experience operating cranes and forklifts.
• Authorized to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Set up and remove workpieces from machines per procedure.
• Use measuring instruments to ensure tolerances.
• Perform in-process inspections and adjust offsets.
• Position and secure parts on machines with tools and fixtures.
• Study blueprints and work orders to determine tolerances.
• Apply general machining practices and tool recognition for close tolerances.
