Job summary

RowanEDC Partnership is seeking a CNC Machine Operator to execute CNC tool operations, set up fixtures, jigs, spoil boards, and tooling for precision cuts in lumber and nonferrous materials per management and programmer instructions.

The role requires touching off tools, tool changes, data management, and strict adherence to safety and quality standards while maintaining a clean, organized work area and recording production data.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year CNC machine tool experience preferred, FANUC controlled.
• Knowledge of mathematical functions.
• Familiarity with Cartesian coordinate graphic systems.
• Ability to understand and interpret FANUC machine code.
• Working knowledge of computer equipment.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Prepares spoil boards and manages replacement timing.
• Touches off tools and registers CNC programs to meet specs safely.
• Changes tools and collects tooling to protect assets.
• Uses touch probes, calibration programs, and height gauges for tool setup.
• Stores programming files and manages data.
• Checks lumber to ensure conformance to specs.
• Secures materials and maintains required supplies.
• Keeps work area safe, clean, and organized; ensures equipment is safe.
• Completes pre-shift startup inspection and reports issues.
• Maintains production records and adheres to safety and quality procedures.
• Performs minor preventive maintenance and participates in safety/CI programs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
