Job summary

GROB Group in Ohio is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to set up, operate, and optimize 5-axis machining centers to produce precision components per engineering drawings.

The role requires advanced machining knowledge, ability to interpret complex drawings, select tooling, adjust speeds and feeds, troubleshoot, and maintain quality with minimal supervision. Second shift Monday-Thursday with a $4 shift premium.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of progressive CNC machining experience.
• 5‑axis machine setup and operation experience.
• Proficient with GD&T and interpreting blueprints.
• Experience with Siemens and Mazatrol CNC controls.
• Ability to troubleshoot and optimize processes independently.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute machining processes for efficient production.
• Interpret engineering drawings and determine tolerances.
• Select and adjust cutting tools, fixtures, and workholding.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions.
• Perform machine setups, tool changes, and offsets.
• Inspect parts with precision measuring instruments.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and assist troubleshooting.
• Maintain safe, organized work environment and follow standards.
• Provide guidance to teammates on machining techniques.
• Handle materials and fixtures safely.
