2nd Shift CNC Machinist - 20% Shift Premium AND 2k Sign-on Bonus

Job Overview

ARCH Cutting Tools is seeking experienced machinists for our Flushing location. Candidates should have experience with Haas and Fanuc CNC controls. Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints to produce parts to specifications.
• Set up fixturing, cutting tools, and support equipment.
• Apply knowledge of cutting tools, feeds, speeds, and depths of cut.
• Read and interpret CNC G-code and programming languages.
• Modify CNC work offsets and parameters for optimal toolpath execution.
• Use measurement tools like calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators for quality control and adjustments.
• Perform machine preventive maintenance and maintain cleanliness.
• Maintain an organized and safe work area.

Qualifications

• Experience with Haas, Fanuc, or other CNC controls.
• Ability to read blueprints and work from CAD or Mastercam files.
• Strong mathematical skills.
• Ability to monitor and ensure part quality.
• Commitment to safety procedures and protocols.

Education & Experience

Advanced education in CNC machining or 1-2 years related experience/training, or equivalent.

Physical Demands

Frequent standing and walking; occasional sitting, handling, reaching, and stooping. Ability to lift/move up to 40 pounds. Visual acuity required.
