Job summary

Griffin Industries is seeking a detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join our team on the 2nd shift. You will inspect machined parts, operate CNC equipment, and collaborate with quality and engineering to ensure conformance to customer specs.

Required are 2+ years in CNC machining or quality control, strong GD&T/blueprint reading, and thorough data interpretation skills. This role emphasizes accuracy, calibration of tools, and in‑process quality feedback.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years CNC machining or quality control in a machine shop.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T and blueprint reading.
• Excellent analysis skills with measurement data interpretation.
• Familiarity with gauge calibration processes.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform in process inspections of machined parts using calipers, micrometers, and CMM.
• Perform laser scanning of castings using Roamer Arm technology.
• Support manufacturing by providing feedback on quality issues and adjustments.
• Maintain accurate inspection documentation.
• Calibrate measurement tools and equipment to maintain accuracy.
• Operate horizontal and/or vertical CNC machines.
• Remove burrs, sharp edges and clean parts.
• Communicate with quality, engineering, supervisory or manufacturing personnel to exchange technical information.
