Duties and Responsibilities
- Set up and operate basic CNC functions following detailed instructions and established procedures on CNC equipment to cut, punch, form, drill, pulse, spin, mill and stamp, producing metal parts and components per design and drawing specifications required for subassemblies or finished products.
- Perform repetitive tasks such as loading/unloading parts on machines, attaching components, and operating hand tools.
- Conduct basic equipment checks to ensure tools and machines are operational.
- Follow step‑by‑step written or verbal instructions for machine setup and operation.
- Other duties as assigned.
Quality Assurance
- Perform routine quality inspections using basic measurement tools (e.g., rulers, tape measures).
- Identify and segregate defective parts for supervisor review.
- Maintain accurate records of production counts and defect reports.
Safety Compliance
- Adhere to safety protocols and utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Perform basic equipment checks (e.g., ensuring tools are operational).
- Maintain awareness and report potential safety hazards to leaders.
Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with team members, supervisors, engineers, and quality control personnel to address challenges and improve processes.
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing to report issues and provide updates.
Workspace Maintenance
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Store tools and equipment properly.
Flexibility and Adaptability
- Work overtime as needed to meet production goals.
- Cross‑train in other areas and adjust to new processes or technologies.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Experience: Entry‑level role: no experience required
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with machining techniques, tools, and equipment; basic computer literacy
- Essential Skills: Effective communication (verbal and written); ability to use machining equipment, hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and testing equipment; produce parts that meet quality standards; identify issues and communicate to leaders; maintain safety protocols; collaborate effectively with all employees; adapt to new processes, technologies, or production requirements

Physical Demands
- Manual dexterity: handle parts and tools with precision
- Repetitive motion: bending, twisting, kneeling, stooping, lifting, gripping, and grasping with hands
- Standing duration: up to 10 hours per shift
- Lifting requirements: up to 35 lbs
- Environmental exposure: noise, chemicals, dust, sharp objects, moving/rotating mechanical parts, and temperature extremes
Compensation
- Base hourly range: $17.50–$31.30 (actual pay based on skills and experience)
