Job summary

Mazak Corporation in Florence, KY is seeking a 2nd Shift CNC Operator for our Manufacturing team. You will set up, run, and test cutting production parts on CNC lathe equipment to meet schedules and quality requirements.

Responsibilities include Mazatrol programming, blueprint reading, tool layout, and ensuring ISO documentation and safe, efficient operation. Strong math and GD&T skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3 years of CNC lathe experience required.
• Ability to program using different methods to test cut a part to print specs.
• Must be familiar with the metric system and have strong math skills.
• Familiar with gaging instruments such as calipers, micrometers and bore gauges.
• Familiar with Mazatrol, EIA/ISO formats.
• Must read blueprints and basic GD&T.
• Setup, test cut, and check the process to produce accurate parts.

Responsibilities

• Proactively Attains a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
• Operate, Set-Up, and Inspect parts on CNC Lathe equipment.
• Modify part programs to print specifications (size, shape, tolerancing).
• Utilize Mazatrol programming for CNC lathe operations.
• Create tooling layouts for new test cut parts.
• Set up parts using chucks, jaws & steady rests for holding.
• Set up work holding tables for automated loading.
• Use overhead crane to assist with raw material setup.
• Blueprint reading to run and check parts.
• Maintain equipment and check oil and lube levels daily/weekly.
• Perform accuracy checks and document for ISO requirements.
