Job description

Available position: RAM Tool, Inc. is a high-tech CNC machining and manufacturing facility in Grafton, WI. We are immediately hiring for available 2nd shift CNC Horizontal Machine Operator Level I (Bar and Pallet) positions. RAM Tool, Inc. is an industry leader that specializes in custom machining and building of aluminum & zinc die cast dies. We have a state of the art 80,000 square foot facility that is clean, safe, climate controlled, and the air is purified with Heat Steam units throughout the facility. We offer a sign-on bonus of $1500.

Responsible for basic machining, fixturing, tool set-up, in process inspection, and final completion of moderately tolerance details (minimum of +/- 0.005 to 0.001). Work with CNC personnel, toolmakers, engineers, and supervisors to plan and execute the most cost-effective method for producing quality parts.

Responsibilities:

  • Operates horizontal boring bars and pallet machining centers
  • Under supervision, performs basic/moderate machining and fittings of numerous kinds of parts in support of production operations or job shop machining
  • For basic jobs, develop processes and set-ups
  • Perform progressive machining operations on work involving moderately close tolerances and/or moderate finish requirements
  • Ensure dimensional accuracy and quality workmanship
  • Complete time travelers, time slips, required inspections, and appropriate paperwork
  • Provide feedback to improve programs, processes, tooling
  • Maintain a safe, orderly, and clean work area
  • Ability to train new hires, as required

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of carbide drills, end mills, inserted cutters, and boring tooling
  • Knowledge of G & M code programming
  • Knowledge of feeds & speeds
  • Knowledge of the machinability of ferrous and non-ferrous materials

Education Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED.

Experience:

  • 0-3 years of demonstrated experience or equivalent.
