Job summary

C&M Precision Tech is seeking a 2nd Shift Preventive Maintenance Technician to support reliability, safety, and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment and facility. This role performs preventive maintenance, troubleshoots issues, and assists with equipment installation and relocation to keep production running smoothly.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, mechanically inclined, and able to work independently while collaborating with production, maintenance, and other departments.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining CNC machines or other manufacturing equipment, preferred.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs, preferred.
• Basic electrical troubleshooting experience.
• Basic plumbing or facility maintenance experience.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment and facility issues.
• Ability to safely operate common hand and power tools.
• Ability to read and follow maintenance instructions, procedures, and safety requirements.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance requests.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Experience working in a machine shop or precision manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose machine and equipment issues and assist with corrective repairs.
• Perform scheduled inspections and maintenance on machinery and facility equipment.
• Identify potential equipment problems before they result in production interruptions.
• Report on equipment conditions and recommend repairs to maintenance personnel.
• Assist with lubrication, filter changes, cleaning, and other routine maintenance activities.
• Support efforts to improve equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.
• Follow established maintenance schedules, procedures, and documentation requirements.
