Job summary

Pritchard Industries is seeking a highly motivated 2nd Shift Custodial Supervisor to lead the janitorial team on the second shift in a regulated facility environment. You will manage scheduling, provide training, ensure cleanroom and lab standards, and maintain safety and documentation per Alcon/FDA requirements.

This role focuses on supervising staff, enforcing GMP/GLP protocols, coordinating with R&D and QA, and maintaining cleanliness across cleanrooms, labs, and offices on a 4:00 pm–11:00 pm

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a janitorial supervisory role, preferably in a regulated facility (GxP environment).
• Knowledge and experience in cleanroom maintenance and laboratory standards.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to train and motivate staff.
• Ability to work effectively with internal and external teams, including regulatory personnel, R&D, and QA departments.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Basic understanding of safety regulations and PPE protocols.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and support a team of janitorial staff on the second shift.
• Manage scheduling, task assignments, and team performance to ensure efficient operations.
• Provide training on janitorial processes, cleanliness standards, and safety procedures.
• Foster a positive team environment, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
• Cover absences as needed, ensuring no disruption in operations.
• Oversee cleaning and sanitation of cleanrooms and labs according to protocols.
• Ensure training is certified by Alcon and GMP/GLP compliant.
• Complete documentation and SOPs; adhere to SDS requirements.
• Enforce safety protocols and PPE usage.
• Manage janitorial inventory and supplies; track and reorder as needed.
• Conduct regular inspections and track performance for continuous improvement.
