Position Overview

Unitex is seeking a skilled and experienced Class A Manufacturing Mechanic/Technician to join our team in New Brunswick, NJ (10A).

Compensation & Schedule
  • Salary: $30.00/hr to $35.00/hr, based on experience and other factors.
  • Schedule: To be discussed during screening, based on seniority per Union Contract.
  • Shift: Monday - Friday, 3:30PM - 12:00AM.

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on laundry equipment (washers, dryers, press machines).
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, minimizing downtime.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance inspections.
  • Assist with equipment upgrades, installations, and modifications.
  • Develop and implement maintenance procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Class A Mechanic/Technician or similar role.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, diagrams.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols in industrial environments.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Attention to detail and good organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
