Job summary

Pratt Internal Careers Site is seeking a Clamp Truck Operator to safely move, stack, and store heavy paper products within a manufacturing facility and warehouse. You will stage rolls for machines, verify inventory, and complete required paperwork with RF/WMS support.

The role requires clamp forklift experience, PIT certification, and adherence to strict safety procedures in a loud, non-climate-controlled environment. This position offers stable hours on site with potential for benefits.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of clamp forklift experience in high-volume manufacturing or warehouse settings.
• Current and valid PIT certification or ability to pass in-house certification for clamp operation.
• Strong understanding of industrial safety procedures, including lock-out/tag-out and pedestrian safety.
• Ability to sit for extended periods and lift/push/pull/carry up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to read production schedules, complete documentation, and verify inventory counts.
• Ability to read and understand factory master instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate a clamp forklift to move, stack, and retrieve paper and corrugated products safely.
• Load/unload inbound paper rolls and stage rolls for machines per production schedules.
• Move finished bundles to the warehouse and ensure FIFO storage.
• Perform pre-shift inspections of vehicle and report issues to supervision or maintenance.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage and shipping areas; complete paperwork and RF scanner/WMS entries.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, operators, and shipping personnel to coordinate material movements.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
