Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job Purpose:- The Production Machinist (Level 1) at Precision Medical Technologies is responsible for operating and maintaining machinery to produce high-quality medical components. This role is crucial in ensuring that all products meet industry standards and client specifications, contributing to the overall success and reputation of the company.Key Responsibilities:- Operate and monitor CNC machines and other production equipment to manufacture medical components according to specifications.- Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and make necessary adjustments to machinery as required.- Collaborate with the production team to optimize workflow and improve production efficiency.- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.- Document production activities and report any issues or discrepancies to the supervisor.- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge of new machinery and production techniques.- Assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues and provide support in resolving technical challenges.Required Education:- High school diploma or equivalent is required. Completion of a vocational program in machining or a related field is preferred.Required Experience:- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a medical device or precision machining industry.- Experience with operating and maintaining CNC machines and manual machining equipment.- Familiarity with reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.Required Skills and Abilities:- Proficiency in using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure product quality and precision.- Strong understanding of machining processes, materials, and tooling.- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic machining issues independently.- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and supervisors.- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.- Basic computer skills for data entry and machine operation software.
