Qualifications

• High School diploma.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Successful completion of a State Approved Medication Aide course.
• Personal Care Assistant or Certified Nursing Certification required.
• Able to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary care setting.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates positive relations with residents, families, and staff.
• Maintains residents' rights with dignity and respect.
• Completes required continuing education and in-service programs.
• Maintains confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines.
• Documents care clearly and promptly.
• Reports changes in a resident's condition to the supervisor.
• Follows community policies and procedures for tasks and schedules.
• Operates equipment safely following training.
• Observes infection control practices and safety procedures.
• Participates in safety and emergency procedures.
