Job summary

Thales North Kingstown is seeking a 2nd Shift Machine Operator to run card production equipment and personalize debit/credit cards. You will work with teammates to meet daily/monthly goals, inspect own work, and maintain a clean, secure work environment.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, basic computer and math skills, and strong communication. Prior maintenance and problem-solving ability are valued, with a competitive benefits package and a $20/hour base plus bonus

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
• Basic computer skills.
• Basic math skills required.
• Good communication skills in both written and verbal.
• Strong analytical, numerical and reasoning abilities.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Ability to establish credibility and be decisive – but able to recognize and support the organization’s preferences and priorities

Responsibilities

• Operate card production equipment and perform related activities.
• Confirm work receipt. Formulate and implement work priority decisions.
• Exceed production output and quality standards. Perform minor equipment maintenance and adjustments per written and oral instructions.
• Work independently performing quality inspections on own work to production standards.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area. Identify potential production and quality problems; recommending remedial or contingency action.
• Awareness and compliance with all security and production policies/procedures. Must possess basic computer skills.
• Maintain housekeeping standards of workstation. Order supplies as needed.
• Attend appropriate training and meetings as required. Meet safety standards.
