Modern Corporation seeks a Buyer Planner I for the 2nd shift (3:00 - 11:30 PM) in Lewiston, NY. The role focuses on reviewing requisitions and managing orders to meet lead times and procurement SOPs, partnering with maintenance and purchasing supervision to support sourcing plans and projects.

Responsibilities include supplier negotiations, inventory management, and ensuring compliance with terms while supporting cross-campus parts retrieval on occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required; business field preferred.
• 1+ year purchasing/material planning; 3 years preferred.
• ERP experience preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with service fleet parts management.
• Strong communication and analytical skills; proficient in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Place and manage purchase orders to ensure continuity of material supply.
• Negotiate price and terms with suppliers to support cost-effective sourcing.
• Collaborate with maintenance and purchasing staff on plans and projects.
• Support inventory control and year-end reconciliation.
• Ensure compliance with company purchase terms and conditions.
• Assist with parts dispensing for repair work-orders.
• Travel up to 3% for emergencies or cross-campus parts retrieval.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
