Clifton Steel in Maple Heights, OH is hiring for a Burner on 2nd shift. You will operate burning equipment, read blueprints, and manage production schedules while ensuring quality and traceability. The role includes crane operation and material handling in a heavy manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate an overhead crane to load and unload plates and cut pieces from the burning table.
• Read production drawings, layouts, tolerances, job packets, and special instructions.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Operate burning equipment and perform inspections on parts.
• Execute daily production schedules with quality and productivity.
• Mark, tag, and skid parts per requirements.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and material traceability.
• Identify and dispose of scrap materials as needed.
• Mark grain direction on burned parts.
