Job summary

Ascentek, Inc. is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Operator to manage bulk loading and warehouse duties in a second-shift, full-time role.

You will operate various pumps and trucks, load and unload by the gallon, and maintain accurate inventory in the warehouse management system. The position requires lifting up to 60 lbs, lifting or carrying 25-60 lbs occasionally, and working on a team with strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must communicate effectively to maintain positive relations with team members.
• Capable of standing, walking and repeatedly climbing into and out of truck tractor or forklift; ability to lift 50 lbs periodically.
• Must be able to perform basic math skills and read and understand written and verbal instructions in English.
• One or more years in a warehouse setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate mechanical and hydraulic pumps and six different bulk trucks on site.
• Load and offload product by the gallon using hoses and connections.
• Use forklift to pick orders and load freight regularly.
• Prepare hazardous materials for shipment and complete DOT HAZMAT paperwork as necessary.
• Pack cartons correctly and stack on pallets; transfer bulk products into drums or totes.
• Follow safety guidelines and company procedures to maintain quality and productivity.
