Job summary

Wabtec Corporation in Duncan, SC is seeking an Assembly Technician to assemble and disassemble parts, operate tools, and support productive, safe manufacturing in an industrial setting. You will be a team player with good listening and communication skills, and you must have a HS diploma or GED with 1+ year of assembly experience.

The role is on the 2nd shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM) with an hourly pay rate of $19.00 and benefits starting on day one, including medical, dental, vision, a 401(k) plan

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED.
• 1+ years of assembly experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Must possess the ability to use tools and equipment that are needed to perform the assembly operations in an industrial setting.
• Must have good listening and communication skills.
• Able to work well with others to be a good team player.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, test, and inspect according to engineering drawings and test codes
• Work with electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Disassemble, troubleshoot, repair, and reassemble equipment that does not pass the test.
• Maintain assembly and test equipment as required.
• Move material to and from the workstation by hand, cart, and crane as required.
• Adhere to all safety rules and procedures and maintain good housekeeping.
• Assist in daily 5s and cleaning procedures.
• Assists others in obtaining solutions to quality and production issues.
• Other duties as may be required or assigned.
