Job description

Join to apply for the 2nd Shift Box Stacker role at Newly Weds Foods.

This position is responsible for hand stacking finished cartons of various sizes and weights from production conveyors onto pallets for shipping, ensuring GMP and quality standards are met, and maintaining efficient product flow. All assigned box stackers must follow established procedures.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Obtain work schedule, supplies, and prepare for operations.
2. Retrieve and position empty pallets on the conveyor line, lifting approximately 50 lb.
3. Hand stack cases of various products onto pallets as per work order and pattern, often stacking hundreds of cases per shift, involving bending and carrying.
4. Notify forklift operator to move full pallets or transport to stretch wrap station.
5. Maintain a clean work area, check pallet integrity, remove damaged pallets, and dispose of trash properly.
6. At shift end, secure equipment, perform housekeeping, and submit paperwork.

Safety & GMP Objectives

1. Follow safety policies and OSHA regulations, prioritizing safety.
2. Implement and review Food Safety Plan to ensure safe, quality products.
3. Adhere to GMP including waste disposal, attire, and hygiene.
4. Report incidents/accidents promptly.

Additional Responsibilities

1. Review employee handbook and policies.
2. Complete annual training requirements.
3. Represent the company professionally; do not speak on its behalf or respond to media inquiries.
