Job summary

Grahamjobs is seeking a Bindery Inspector-Operator I on a temp-to-hire basis in Greensboro. You will learn to operate folder machines and related bindery equipment under supervision to produce high quality pharmaceutical literature, following SOPs, work instructions and cGMPs.

Training includes line clearance, run monitoring, defect evaluation and ruler reading to 1/64 inch, with emphasis on safety and quality while maintaining records and packaging to specs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic math and computer skills
• Detail-oriented with focus on quality and safety
• Ability to communicate in written and spoken English (C1+)

Responsibilities

• Learn to perform manual and machine operator duties related to bindery and folder equipment.
• Learn to conduct line clearance activities between runs.
• Learn to monitor each run to ensure product meets specifications.
• Learn to evaluate work for defects according to SOPs and work instructions.
• Learn to read a ruler to 1/64th of an inch.
• Learn to correct and replace any non-standard work while monitoring scrap/waste.
• Learn to troubleshoot machine operation and make minor adjustments as necessary.
• Communicate with technician to troubleshoot unresolved issues.
• Maintain accurate records in accordance with cGMPs and company procedures.
• Maintain a clean work area and comply with OSHA requirements.

Job Description

Bindery Inspector-Operator I Temp to Hire will learn to operate folder machines and related bindery equipment to produce high quality printed pharmaceutical literature. Working under a trainer, this entry level, Temp to Hire position follows Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, and current Good Manufacturing Practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Learn to perform manual and machine operator duties related to operation of folder machines and related bindery equipment.
• Learn to conduct line clearance activities between runs.
• Learn to monitor each run to ensure product meets specifications.
• Learn to evaluate work for defects according to standard operating procedures and work instructions.
• Learn to read a ruler to 1/64th of an inch.
• Learn to correct and replaces any non-standard work while monitoring scrap/waste.
• Learn to troubleshoot machine operation according to procedure making minor adjustments as necessary.
• Communicates with technician in a timely manner to troubleshoot unresolved operational issues.
• Learn to package product to customer specifications.
• Maintains accurate records in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).
• Maintains equipment cleanliness during operating and non-operating periods.
• Contributes to safety goals by maintaining a clean, clutter-free work area and promptly reports potentially unsafe conditions.
• Complies with environmental and OSHA requirements to include wearing required personal protective equipment.
• All other duties as reasonably requested
