Job summary

4over, Inc. is seeking a Bindery Operator I for the 2nd shift in its Phoenix, AZ plant. The role involves setting up and safely operating the MBO/Stahl folding machine to prepare printed sheets for binding or shipment.

The candidate will manage batch priorities, verify job specs, and adjust equipment to ensure quality results. Regular duties include loading sheets, recording production data, and maintaining equipment while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalency; or six-months to one-year related experience in a manufacturing environment and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Three (3) year’s experience with Muller Martini-Presto saddle stitchers
• Experience operating binding/finishing equipment preferable

Responsibilities

• View batch lists in batching system to identify priority jobs
• Review job specs to determine page sequence, fold size and packing requirements
• Set up side guides, fold plates, fold rollers, slitting blades or perforators
• Load sheets onto feeder and position job sheets for final settings
• Adjust machine during production to meet quality and customer requirements
• Record job information on load tags and time sheets
• Troubleshoot machine problems and notify supervisor when needed
• Maintain machine maintenance and lubrication
• Complete required paperwork and follow safety policies
