Job summary

Wood Violet Recovery is seeking a 2nd Shift Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) for our Dodgeville, WI operations. The role supports adults in a residential treatment setting on a 2:30pm–11:00pm shift (Sunday–Thursday) with some weekend/holiday availability.

You will assist with intake, provide transportation, monitor safety, document progress, and collaborate with clinical teams to ensure quality client care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Welcoming new clients and assisting with intake, tours, paperwork, and orientation.
• Providing transportation to appointments, airports, and community outings.
• Conducting wellness checks and obtaining vital signs.
• Monitoring client safety and maintaining a therapeutic environment.
• Documenting observations and client progress accurately and timely.
• Supporting clients with professionalism, empathy, and respect during challenging moments.
• Assisting with recreational activities and community events.
• Collaborating with nursing, clinical, and operations teams to ensure client care.
• Responding appropriately during emergencies and following safety procedures.

What You'll Do

• Collaborating with nursing, clinical, and operations teams to ensure exceptional client care.
• Responding appropriately during emergencies and following established safety procedures.

What We're Looking For
We want our team to be dependable, compassionate, and comfortable working with people from diverse backgrounds.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• The ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Preferred:

• Strong communication and de-escalation skills.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Experience in behavioral health, addiction treatment, healthcare, social services, customer service, or related fields.
